Congratulation to Jessica + Nils on a most magical and romantic day, captured at the beautiful Lord Thompson Manor!

After the wedding, we were thrilled to find out they were featured in Connecticut Bride, not surprising when you see the photographs taken by Vicki & Erik Souza. Check the photos out here.

[On a more somber note... a few months after the wedding, Jessica grandmother passed. Jessica reached out to us to thank us again, knowing we'd captured so much great footage of her grandmother so happy and enjoying herself. In moments like those, it's so rewarding knowing we're providing a service that helps families remember loved ones while also capturing milestone events like weddings.]

Meegan and Jon’s wedding was destined to be an unbelievably beautiful event… for starters they chose Jon’s family horse farm for the festivities. Beyond majestic — rolling hills, miles of stone walls, and views that never end. And that’s not even the good part! Meegan was a wedding design force of nature. Details that any full-time planner would be proud to call their own… antique horse carts, and saddles, and full size barn doors with giant prints from their engagement session… every detail worked, every piece of the puzzle accentuating the next. It was really very unique and so… them. Even more beautiful was how gracious they both were… so excited to share what they had created, yet more excited to be able to share their big day with friends and family. Enjoy!

And to add to the excitement, Meegan & Jon’s wedding was featured by The Knot | New York for fall/winter 2012. Yeah! Big props to Carla from Carla Ten Eyck Photography, Makeup Artist Stacey Palancia from Blush Couture Design, DJ Ronnie Mazal from Musically Yours, and Bonni Manning Catering! All experts at what they do, and a fun group of people to spend an evening with as well!

Ohhhh my! Where to begin? I guess with Nora… she’s beautiful, she’s sweet, and über talented! A former contestant on Project Runway, you know she’s bringing all kinds of style to the table. Of course my first question was whether Heidi Klum would be in attendance… but no such luck ;-(

Flowers were by Datura: A Modern Garden. I can’t even comment on their work… it’s beyond beautiful. Check out the film and photo links and you’ll see what I mean. Speaking of photo, Megan LaBarbera of Creative Image Collections shot some amazing stuff from the day, and continues to be someone we look forward to working with. We can’t say enough good things about her… so why try? Just check her out here.

The ceremony and reception were both held at Chamard Vineyards in Clinton, CT. They blew us away with their beautiful grounds and buildings, as well as their hospitality. And perhaps the highlight of the day… the opportunity to FINALLY meet and work with Event Design and Planner Extraordinaire Sarah True, of True Event. She pulled the day together in such a beautiful way, and kept her composure even when the best man decided that a late night, fully-clothed swim in the pond was a good idea! She’s awesome, and definitely on our ‘gotta work with her some more’ list.

Enjoy the film, and congratulations to an awesome couple!

Somedays all the little wedding tumblers click into place and it’s really, well… easy. I guess maybe easy isn’t the word. Easier?

Stunning couple, amazing venue, great crowd. Oh and don’t forget some of the best light we’ve ever seen cast down on a first dance! Allison literally ‘glowed’. Making things even more enjoyable was the presence of Studio-mates Eric and Amber from Raw Photo Design. They are pros in every sense of the word, made evident by Allison & Joe’s photos here.

Thanks to Allison and Joe for letting us capture such a beautiful wedding!

In late April we took our show on the road to The Garden State. Who knew the state known for Bon Jovi and Snookie would prove to also give us one of our classiest and most beautiful weddings of the year?

Corinne and Matt chose the ridiculously beautiful Mallard Island Yacht Club on Long Beach Island for the ceremony and reception. We see a lot of gorgeousness, and this place was right up there with the best of them! Also making the trip south were photographers Eric and Amber from Raw Photo Design. This wedding was tailor-made for their style, made obvious by some of their fav shots here. You’ll say ‘wow’.

Here are some more talented folks who lent their skills to the big day: Caterer: Merri Makers Catering / Makeup: Magnifique Makeup by Dominique / Hair Styling: Aqua Blue Salon in LBI / Floral Design: MDS Floral Design / Stationary Design: Stephanie Somodi / Gown designed by Ines Di Santo via Bridal Reflections / Bride’s shoes by Benjamin Adams /  DJ: Craig Scott Entertainment

It’s always an honor to be chosen to film someone’s wedding. A couple is trusting you with their biggest day, knowing you’ll produce a visual history that tells their story in a creative way. So when a respected and talented wedding photographer like Alissa Dinneen chooses you to film their wedding, it means even more! It was also an opportunity to work with Laura Pineda from Alternate Angles. Along with her husband Ricardo, they created some stunning images. Check out some shots of the day here.

Here’s some of the All-Star group of vendors Alissa and John included in their big day:  Coordinator/Stationary : Talia from Sixpence for Your Shoe; Photographer : Laura and Ricardo – Alternate Angles; Florist : Jessica’s Country Flowers; Caterer : Emily’s Catering Group; Cake : Something Sweet by Michelle; DJ : Butch Gray DJ; Ceremony Musicians : Wild Wood Groups; JP : Rev. Victoria Burdick; Lighting : Shindig Lighting, LLC; Hair and Make-up: Naomi and Angela for Naomi Martinez Salon and Spa; Wedding Site : Connecticut’s Old State House; Wedding Gown and accessories, MOB Gown, Girl’s Dresses : The White Dress by the Shore

In the first of what we hope will be a weekly post, we’d like to introduce you to some of the vendors who we have found to be at the top of their industry. If you’ve spent any time researching wedding vendors, you know there is a huge range of talent out there, and an equally wide range of prices. It can be a little confusing for the couple who are doing this for the first (and the last!) time. Hopefully this will serve you as a resource… to help you find not only talented people, but also those who play nice with others. Every weekend, we see these people in action, and each of them can bring something very special to your day. That’s why we work with them, and that’s why we refer them with confidence…

Today’s inaugural post highlights Ronnie Mazal of Musically Yours Premiere DJ Services. Most of us have been to a wedding where the biggest buzz kill in the room was the guy who was supposed to keep the party rockin’. Well have no fear! We’ve seen Ronnie in action, and no one is better at keeping people up and dancing. Of course, some think that’s best accomplished with beach balls, inflatable saxophones, and glowing plastic roses. Blahhh! Musically Yours needs no such cheese.

When I sat down with Ronnie, and asked him what set him apart from his competition, his answer was, “The ability to adapt… all weddings are different, as are all couples, so the DJ who has one set style regardless of the situation is really doing his clients a disservice. By getting to know the couple’s musical tastes and style ahead of time, we can provide services that best suit the couple.”

Musically Yours can be reached @ 203.653.2877 or by e-mail @

P.S. Let ‘em know Vantage Point Films sent you!

Patrycia and Marcin are one of those couples who, after the wedding, you’re just really happy for. Happy that the wedding went off without a hitch, and they just seemed so happy to be together and to be getting married. I wish there was more to write about it… but why drag something that simple out more than I must? After the ceremony in Stamford, it was off to the popular Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien, where we’ve always been impressed by their great staff.

We were also part of an all-star cast that helped make Patrycia and Marcin’s wedding day such a great event! Makeup was done by Stacey from Blush Couture, and Naomi from Naomi’s Studio & Salon was the hairstylist. We teamed up with Eric and Nicole from Raw Photo Design, and as usual, their creativity is just beyond words. Check out Patrycia and Marcin’s photos here. And this was our first time working with Ronnie from Musically Yours. We were so impressed with him, we’ve since invited him to join the Studio. If you’re looking for a DJ who rocks, Ronnie is your boy!

So psyched today! just did a feature on our May 1st wedding (Alicia and Jack), showcasing our work as well as photographs from Carla Ten Eyck Photography. Based in Great Britain, Rock ‘n Roll Bride “promotes individuality and general awesomeness in a cookie cutter, pastel pink, poofy dressed wedding world.”

Check out their blog post here. For the bride that’s looking for a little extra wedding flavor, it’s an awesome resource for cool ideas. Thanks to Kat, the original Rock ‘n Roll Bride for adding our work to her blog.

OK, I know what you’re thinking… what’s better than getting to spend the day with great friends Eric and Amber Langlois of Raw Photo Design, shoot a ridiculously beautiful girl— scantily clad in sexy lingerie while she bounces from pose to pose— from the bed to the tub to the…

Ummm— what was I talking about again?

In all seriousness, Eric has taken boudoir photography to a whole new level… and the proof’s in the popularity. Whether it’s a gift for a groom the night before the wedding, or just a chance for someone to feel like a supermodel for a day — RAW Boudoir. say it again. Raw Boudoir.

Helping making the beautiful even more beautiful this day were Sue from Naomi’s Salon providing makeup, and Josie from Beneath the Gown, who provided the lingerie for the shoot.
